Born in Alaska and raised in Chimacum, Marandan’s passion for animals was clear from day one. She began riding horses at age 6, and would even ask strangers if she could walk their dog while waiting for her older brother’s little league game to wrap up. Eventually, Marandan grew out of bothering the general dog-owning public when she eventually joined their ranks at 13, and her parents brought home a smiley golden retriever named Timber. This passion for animal welfare lead her to the veterinary medicine field in 2019.
Today, Marandan has been working on the Brookside team since October 2023. She is always keeping her teammates laughing, and is usually first to volunteer to take care of any and all spicy cats that may come in.
